App Firm Source Of Apple Data Breach

BlueToad, a Florida based firm that creates digital and mobile publications says it is the likely source of a security breach which resulted  in the leak of personal data from as many as 12 million Apple iPhone and iPad users.

Hackers claimed that the the apple UDIDs were actually stolen from an FBI computers but the  but the US law enforcement agency insists this isnt the case. Each iPhone/ iPod Touch has a Unique Device Identifier (UDID), which is 40 letters and numbers that are specific to your device. It looks something like this:

Company CEO, Paul DeHArt released a statement claiming the UDID’s were stolen from their system and they are working round the clock with a “nationally-recognized security assurance company” to ensure no more breaches happen.
